Ten hypertensive patients (Grade I, low risk) were randomly assigned to receive 6 weekly sessions of either Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) or Peter Hess® Sound Massage. Measurements included 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure, heart rate variability, and stress processing (SVF 120). Each intervention was preceded and followed by a 6-week placebo or follow-up phase.

- Blood pressure lowering effect in the sound group more than
twice as strong - Particularly pronounced in the follow-up phase – indicating lasting effects
