Every single product is developed and tested by our team and handcrafted in selected workshops. As wide as our product range has grown, one thing connects them all: care, functionality, and durability. And a deep understanding of how sound works.
How are Hess Sound brand products created?
Many of the products you find today in the Hess Sound online shop simply did not exist on the market in this form. They were created because something was missing in practice: Some ideas came from Peter Hess® Sound Massage, others from user feedback. Still others stemmed from our own drive for improvement: This can be done even better!

1. Mallets & friction mallets for Singing Bowls and Gongs – Where precision meets feeling
Choosing the right mallet or friction mallet significantly influences the sound of your gong or Singing Bowl. Over 35 years of working with sound, we have experimented extensively – with materials, ergonomics, weight, and balance. Until a product emerges that meets your needs and authentically brings out the character of your instrument.
From this process, Hess Sound mallets and friction mallets have been created, which are carefully produced by family businesses in Germany:

2. Sound Bath Bowls
New in our range are our Hess Sound Bath Bowls. These Singing Bowls were specially developed for use in sound baths. You can get them both as a set with and without accessories and also individually. We also offer a matching felt coaster set.
3. Laser-Engraved Singing Bowls
Our Singing Bowls with engraving are also popular:

Hess Sound Singing Bowl Cushions and Singing Bowl Coasters
Our Singing Bowl Cushions have been developed from many years of practice and provide your Singing Bowl with optimal support without dampening the sound too much. They allow your bowl to vibrate freely and are durable and stable.
Diverse color schemes and new designs are created in close coordination with our partners in India and Nepal. We work with long-standing producers under fair conditions, in workshops with whom we share a bond of trust.

Our meditation cushions are sewn in India and Nepal and filled on-site with organic buckwheat from Germany. For this, we even developed our own filling system. This ensures that the quality is right, moisture is controlled, and your cushions remain durable.

These gongs are crafted in the renowned Broder Oetken manufactory, known for traditional forging artistry and exceptional sound quality. They impress with their clear response, balanced vibration, and a resonant, nuanced sound structure.

Professional sound massage requires well-thought-out support for sound massage practitioners and therapists. Peter Hess is considered a pioneer of modern sound massage and developed a method over 35 years ago that is now used worldwide. At Hess Sound, we build on this experience and develop accessories designed directly from practical application.
Support Systems
You can make it especially comfortable for those receiving sound with the Hess Sound Support Systems: From small support cushions to the comprehensive Support Set – each product has been developed by us and can be flexibly combined. Our Mini Support Set is particularly versatile.
Many of these products are made in a manufactory of a long-standing partner – a friend of our Singing Bowl manufacturer. Here too, fair working conditions and sustainable cooperation are central.
Sitting & Lying Cushions „Sound Oasis“
The Hess Sound Sound Oasis was created from a desire expressed by many sound practitioners. It offers more freedom when working on the floor and allows sound recipients to lie comfortably and relaxed.
Foot Rolls
Our Hess Sound Foot Rolls are sewn in India and Nepal and filled with organic buckwheat here on-site in Uenzen. For this production step, we even developed our own filling system. This allows us to control moisture, prevent mold formation during transport, and guarantee you organic quality.
