The power of incense – an ancient ritual

Smoking has been part of the rituals of many cultures for thousands of years. The rising smoke from herbs, resins, or woods was used, for example, to symbolically cleanse rooms or people. Transitions such as birth, marriage, or death were also accompanied by smoking rituals, which symbolically separated the old from the new. In spiritual or meditative contexts, smoke was used to support meditation, prayer, or reflection.

Smoking with paper – words in fire

Burning written paper is not a modern phenomenon, but a continuation of ancient rituals. In various cultures, wishes, worries, or blessings were recorded on paper and handed over to the fire. Paper absorbs what moves you. Fire transforms it. Smoke carries it further—into the subconscious, into space, or symbolically into a greater order.
