Gong mallets

Gong mallet is the international term for gong beaters. There are basically two methods to elicit the variety of sounds from a gong: Striking, for which gong mallets are used, and rubbing, for which E-Gong friction mallets are used. Striking with a gong mallet is the classic method of making a gong vibrate. A mallet is a type of beater that is usually covered with a fabric. Depending on the point of impact and the properties of the gong, different tones are produced.
