Types and effects of sound instruments
Sound instruments are often used in yoga classes, seminars, kindergartens or even at home. Each individual instrument has its own unique sound and character. The effect on our body can also vary depending on the sound instrument. A clear and unique sound can only be created if the instrument is perfectly crafted.
From wind chimes, Zen bells and chimes to Kalimbas and Sansulas to Monolini and practical accessories – you can buy many different sound instruments in our shop. Each individual instrument meets our high quality standards, and many are handmade.
Which sound instrument should I buy?
Sound instruments are very suitable for meditation and sound massage. They also have a positive effect on the atmosphere of the room as a decorative element. When buying an instrument, you should trust your feelings: if you find the sound pleasant, this usually indicates good product quality. You should also take a close look at the materials, workmanship and manufacture. If an instrument has not been cleanly processed and the materials are of poor quality, this will have a direct effect on the sound.
Special chimes and wind chimes from Hess Sound
A very popular chime that you can buy in our shop is the Koshi chime. It is based on the design principle of the Zaphir chime and is made of bamboo. The Koshi chime consists of a glass body, a vibrating body and a resonating body. Eight tuned bronze rods produce the actual sound when the glass body is touched. The beautiful instrument is shown to its best advantage on our stands for chimes. They are suitable for playing the instrument or for displaying it on a desk, windowsill or shelf.
Chimes and wind chimes not only look very aesthetic, they can also create very different moods. They can create a special atmosphere both indoors and outdoors. Not only the soothing sounds affect us, but also the movement of the sound instruments in the wind can have a hypnotizing and calming effect.
What are Kalimbas and Sansulas?
A kalimba consists of a board with a hollow body and sound tongues, which are usually made of metal. The sound instrument is very easy to learn: plucking with the thumb creates harmonious and long-lasting tones that can lead to deep relaxation.
The Sansula belongs to the Kalimba family. The sound tongues are mounted on a wooden block that is freely suspended on a membrane. In our shop you can buy both Sansulas and Kalimbas.
