On September 10, the Klang Professional Association is hosting an evening event exploring connection, encounters, and the deep human longing to be in contact with others. This event invites participants to view the process of human connection from a new perspective.
Drawing on the contact cycle model of Gestalt therapy, speaker Cordula Tolkmitt takes participants on a journey through the early stages of life: from the initial deep bond and symbiosis with parents to the first experiences of autonomy, separation, and self-discovery.
Sound serves as a unifying element for the participants—as a space of resonance between people, as an expression of closeness, security, and connection. It can support, move, regulate, and foster connection in situations where words sometimes fall short.
This presentation combines aspects of developmental psychology, Gestalt therapy, and body-oriented approaches with an exploration of how sound can help us connect with ourselves and others.
- How do we connect with the world?
- How do closeness, attachment, and relationships develop?
- And what role does sound play in this?
