Manufacturing and Materials

The mallets in the Hess Sound Onyx series are carefully crafted in traditional family businesses in Germany. The head consists of a robust rubber ball and the black handle is made of durable plastic.

Care instructions

To ensure your gong friction mallet can consistently unfold the full sound spectrum on your gong, regular care and proper storage are essential. Clean your gong regularly and always store your mallets in a protected place. If needed, you can gently remove any deposits on the mallet head, which usually result from dust or dirt, with hot water. With proper care and cleaning, both the material and sound quality will be preserved for a long time.
