A Koshi chime is a finely tuned sound instrument, traditionally handcrafted in the French Pyrenees. This chime offers a harmonious interplay of complex tones from the four elements: Fire, Earth, Water, and Air. The rich, harmonious sound field is created by eight precisely tuned sound rods that gently vibrate inside the resonance body. The melodies unfold softly, harmoniously, and are deeply relaxing.

The handcrafted Koshi chimes produce pure tones with a rich overtone spectrum – soft, ethereal, and never intrusive.

Koshi chimes are suitable for use in sound meditations, professional sound work, Yoga, and sound education. They are simply held by their cord and moved, or hung on a chime stand. Even the slightest movements create flowing melodies that lead to calm and foster an atmosphere of lightness and depth. Use it for consciously ending meditations, for harmonizing a space, or as a melodious Feng Shui wind chime. Due to its gentle sounds, it is also suitable for children.

Sound

All Koshi chimes are tuned to 432 Hz. Their sound is clear, warm, and has a long sustain. Played individually, each tuning reveals its own character – together, Earth, Water, Air, and Fire resonate as a harmonious interplay of the elements.

Manufacturing and Materials

Each Koshi chime is handcrafted in the French Pyrenees and individually carefully tuned. The resonance body is encased in oiled bamboo wood veneer and contains long metal sound rods and a movable disc inside.

Care instructions

You can regularly wipe the product with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
