Mallets for Singing Bowls

You need a mallet or a clapper to make a Singing Bowl sound. The sound depends on the nature of the mallet. While large, soft felt mallets produce deeper tones, the sound is higher with small, hard felt or rubber mallets. The volume and duration of the sound also vary depending on the mallet. It is best to hold the mallet loosely in your hand and strike the Singing Bowl at the top edge. You can also rub your bowl with a grater for Singing Bowls to make it "sing".
