Mallets for Singing Bowls

You need a mallet or a beater to make a Singing Bowl sound. The sound depends on the quality of the mallet. While large, soft felt mallets produce deeper tones, the sound is higher with small, hard felt or rubber mallets. The volume and duration of the sound also vary depending on the mallet. It is best to hold the mallet loosely in your hand and strike the Singing Bowl on the upper edge. You can also use a friction mallet for Singing Bowls to rub the Singing Bowl and make it “sing.”
