Mallets for Singing Bowls

You need a mallet to make a singing bowl sound. The sound depends on the quality of the mallet. While large, soft felt mallets produce deeper tones, the sound is higher with small, hard felt or rubber mallets. The volume and duration of the sound also vary depending on the mallet. It is best to hold the mallet loosely in your hand and strike the top of the singing bowl. You can also rub your bowl with a friction mallet for singing bowls to make it “sing”.
