Online sound congress, March 4–6, 2022

Strengthening health, supporting therapy and accompanying recovery with singing bowls

People who want to strengthen their own health and joy of life will learn at this sound congress how singing bowls can be used for exactly that. And professionals from educational, therapeutic or medical fields will receive concrete ideas on how to enrich their working day with targeted sound offerings while also doing something good for themselves.

The sounds of singing bowls quickly lead to a pleasant state of relaxation in which body, mind and soul can regenerate.

Sound offerings are so much more than "just relaxation"

The basis for using the Peter Hess® Sound Methods is first and foremost their relaxing effect, which, so to speak, contributes "incidentally" to relieving stress, fears and pain. This makes them a popular relaxation method for private use. At the same time, this is one reason why professional sound offerings can be found more and more often in many institutions, practices, clinics and rehabilitation facilities. With their positive effects, they can help activate self-healing powers and open up access to untapped potential, whether as an offering in preparation for therapy, alongside therapy or on its own. Targeted sound offerings can trigger a wide range of beneficial impulses on a physical, mental and emotional level.

The opening lecture by psychoneuroimmunologist Prof. Dr. Dr. Christian Schubert, which deals with the interactions between psyche, brain and immune system, promises exciting insights into this. Prof. Dr. Thilo Hinterberger sheds light on how spaces of consciousness can be shaped with sounds. And drawing on her many years of experience as a music therapist in a psychosomatic clinic, Bärbel Kirst shows how sounds can be used for anxiety disorders and depression. These rather theoretical insights are rounded off by a short lecture by Ulrich Krause and Dr. Christina Koller on various research projects relating to the Peter Hess® Sound Methods.

The sounds always do the person offering them good, too. A win-win situation for everyone involved.

Varied ideas for practice and sound enjoyment

In addition to the lectures, various practice forums reflect the many ways in which educators, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nursing staff, counselors, psychologists, doctors and many other professional groups can profitably integrate the relaxing sounds into their repertoire of methods and thus enrich it effectively. In the forums, people affected and their relatives also learn how they can use singing bowls for self-application. This congress also has a supporting program that allows you to have your own sound experiences.
