Bianka Reimer

Nurse & Quality Manager

Bianka Reimer has been a trained Peter Hess® Sound Massage practitioner since 2021. In addition to her main job, she offers sound massages and sound journeys, and every two weeks, she works with children aged 5–14 in a child and youth welfare institution. In individual sessions, she supports children from challenging family backgrounds, using sound work specifically to reduce stress, enhance body awareness, and build self-confidence.

Bianka Reimer's primary profession is working as a quality manager in a hospital. As a qualified health and general nurse with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing Science and Management, she combines her professional expertise with sound work, offering sound massages to staff at her hospital.

From the first sound to inner knowing: This is my journey

Sound entered my life in a very special way in 2019. This was triggered by a rheumatic condition that caused several consecutive inflammations in my eye. Suddenly, the fear of losing my eyesight became ever-present. As I was already almost blind in my left eye and the inflammations were now primarily affecting my right eye, my thoughts turned to the worst-case scenario. The thought of not being able to see my two children – then seven and ten years old – grow up was particularly unbearable.

During this challenging time, sound entered my life as a quiet yet powerful companion. My mother told her physiotherapist at the time, who was trained in Peter Hess® Sound Massage, about my situation. She offered to visit me at home and give me a Sound Massage as a gift. Even the very first note of the Singing Bowl touched something deep within me that is hard to put into words. In that moment, I knew: I want to share these sounds with others.

After just a few sound massages, along with very healing conversations, a deep trust in myself and my body emerged. A strong inner conviction formed: My eyesight will be preserved. To this day, I have had no further inflammation flare-ups. I am confident that this sense of balance will continue to stay with me. During this period, I experienced how profoundly touching sounds can be and how intense the self-discovery through sound truly is.

The true pivotal moment was the first sound of the singing bowl. Something within me immediately resonated, and it felt as though a door was opening, both internally and externally, leading to a fresh, clear perspective. Although my journey to this point hasn't always been easy and included many challenging parts, every single step was the right one.

For me, on a soulful and spiritual level, sound primarily means one thing: finding inner peace, connecting with my true self, sensing light on my path, and experiencing healing.

My sound work – for adults and children

Today, I pursue my passion for sound in various ways. In my own space, I offer Peter Hess® Sound Massages and sound evenings featuring imagery journeys. These services invite you to consciously step away from daily life, find tranquility, and experience the beneficial effects of sound on your body, mind, and soul.

Furthermore, I provide sound massages to staff members at the Dietrich-Bonhoeffer Hospital in Neubrandenburg. In that work environment, these sound sessions are designed to offer small moments of relaxation amidst the often demanding daily hospital routine.

A project particularly close to my heart is my work in child and youth welfare at Prinzenschloss Quadenschönfeld. Every two weeks, on two afternoons, I support children in individual sessions using gentle sound massages, imagery journeys, sound-supported conversations, and playful exploration of the instruments. Through this, the children learn to calm down, strengthen their body awareness, and develop self-confidence.

Primarily, Peter Hess® Therapy Singing Bowls are used, complemented by gongs, Zen and Assam Singing Bowls, as well as Tongue Drums, Zaphir and Koshi chimes. The variety of these instruments allows for both deep relaxation and a curious, playful exploration of sound and vibration.

My sound space – a place to arrive

I create my sound space with great care and attention to detail. Depending on the season, it is heated or ventilated, and prepared with appropriate lighting, selected scents, and comfortable cushioning materials. Small touches like tea, water, or seasonal treats are also part of the experience for me: fresh fruit in summer, and nuts or Christmas pastries in winter.

Guests are welcome to settle in at their own pace. Depending on their experience, I invite them to either begin with the foot sound bowl or make themselves comfortable right away. A short preliminary chat allows them to share any wishes or concerns and provides an overview of the session. It is especially important to me that my guests feel comfortable and safe at all times: there's no need to endure anything, positions can be changed whenever needed, and I pay close attention to their comfort and needs.

The sound session itself begins with a gentle introduction to relaxation. Throughout the entire time, I mindfully accompany my guests, gently adjusting their position or the flow of the session as needed. After the sound massage or sound journey, there is a phase of quiet reflection before I gently guide them back to the present moment, usually with delicate chimes. Everyone is encouraged to settle in at their own pace. The subsequent conversation is a valuable conclusion for me, as every encounter through sound is also enriching for me.

Who visits my sound space

People come to me facing a wide range of life situations. Often, psychological stress leads them to discover the benefits of sound. I also support individuals with autism, tinnitus, sleep disorders, migraines, musculoskeletal issues, or other physical and emotional challenges. Guests who simply wish to enhance and maintain their overall well-being are equally welcome.

In the field of child and youth support, I encounter children who have sometimes gone through challenging experiences. Despite this, sound allows them to experience lightness, curiosity, and joy, and discover moments of deep tranquility.

I find it particularly important to acknowledge each person's individuality and provide them with the specific space they need. Together, we connect through sound and depart from this space as one, supported by a feeling of togetherness and well-being.

Feedback and moving experiences

The feedback from my sound session guests is consistently appreciative and heartfelt. Many mention the special atmosphere of my sound room, which allows them to step away from daily life for a moment. Some find immediate relaxation, while others develop this ability gradually. Especially profound experiences often occur when combined with Reiki.

I am consistently moved by the transformations that sound makes possible. Whether it involves the release of emotional blockages or the experience of physical relief, each encounter continually reveals to me the profound depth and power of sound. I also find myself emotionally touched by these experiences time and again.

My own sound journey – from the first sound of the singing bowl, through my training, to today – has deeply shaped me personally and spiritually. These experiences allow me to guide people even more mindfully with sound.

Singing bowls – the heart of my work

Singing bowls are central to all my offerings. They create a protected space where personal growth, connection, and tranquility can flourish. For bodywork, I exclusively use Peter Hess® Therapy Singing Bowls, as they meet the highest quality standards in terms of sound, vibration, and craftsmanship. I also rely solely on these instruments for meditation and imagery journeys.

Hess Sound has been a dependable partner for me since I began my training. In addition to the high quality of their instruments, I particularly value their inspiring blog and their personal, service-oriented approach.

Outlook and inspiration

I eagerly anticipate upcoming training sessions and sound-filled encounters. In the past year, my journey with sound continued to evolve. Upon completing the workshop leader training, I am now qualified to offer the PHI workshop “Relaxing with Singing Bowls” in my region and gently invite people into the healing world of sounds.

The practical training during the seminar 'Designing Individual Sound Massage Easily, Skillfully, and Safely' marked another significant step in my journey. This experience now allows me to offer sound massage training sessions in my region, drawing on my experience, careful approach, and a deep connection to sound.

Among my other passion projects are the training to become a KliK® expert (Sound Communication with Children) and further education in the field of sound for dementia. My goal is to further embed sound in my region and to support people in various life situations.

My message to everyone interested in sound: Sound touches, connects, and opens up spaces where you can simply be, just as you are. My own encounter with sound has profoundly enriched my life. Based on this experience, I invite you to rediscover sound and consciously experience its power.
