New designations for Peter Hess® quality levels
Together with Peter Hess, we at Hess Sound have adapted the designation of the Peter Hess® quality levels. Until now, the singing bowls used on the body as part of sound massages have been assigned to the following quality levels:
Previous designation:
- Peter Hess® Therapy Singing Bowl = highest quality level for professional sound massages as well as for private applications.
- Peter Hess® Himalaya Singing Bowl = same manufacturing process as Therapy Singing Bowl, also used for sound massages, but mainly in the private sector and only as a supplement in the professional sector.
The quality levels are derived from the fact that the singing bowls exhibit certain tonal or visual differences after the production process during the quality inspection, which cannot be avoided in traditional handcrafted production. However, both variants come from the same production and have undergone the same forging process.
We have therefore changed the names so that they reflect the type of singing bowl and its quality level more clearly: Therapy and Himalaya Singing Bowls will in future both fall under the term Peter Hess® Therapy Singing Bowl, with the gradation Premium and Classic. We hope that this will provide clearer orientation. If you have any questions, you can of course contact our service team at any time.

- Peter Hess® Therapy Singing Bowl Classic
New labels: Therapy Premium & Therapy Classic
In the course of renaming the quality levels, we have also had new sound bowl seals designed. These are the labels that you will find in the middle of our Peter Hess® Singing Bowls. The new labels are uniformly in English, as there are more and more interested parties in non-German speaking countries. In the future you will probably still find singing bowls with the previous designations (Therapy & Himalaya) and from March 1, 2024 you will also find singing bowls with the designations Therapy Premium or Therapy Classic. Of course, this does not change the quality.
Peter Hess® Therapy Singing Bowl Premium
All Peter Hess® Therapy Singing Bowls are made of a bronze alloy according to ancient tradition and have an excellent sound and vibration quality. In accordance with our high standards, they are tested several times for quality and only receive the Premium label of approval if they really meet all sound and visual criteria. The Premium singing bowls are considered the jewel among the singing bowls and were developed for professional sound work with the Peter Hess® Sound Methods. The different types of singing bowls (heart bowl, pelvic bowl, etc.) are assigned to the respective areas of the body.
Peter Hess® Therapy Singing Bowl Classic
With its still excellent sound quality, the Peter Hess® Therapy Singing Bowl Classic is very well suited for personal use, for use in kindergartens or schools as well as for private use in sound massage. Our Classic singing bowls also have to meet high quality standards and therefore have almost the same vibration and frequency behavior as a Premium Therapy Singing Bowl. Dimensions and shape correspond to the Premium singing bowl, but all Therapy Singing Bowls (Premium and Classic) can vary in shape, color and weight, as each one is individually handcrafted. Classic singing bowls are also available for different areas of the body.
