The TamTam gong is an East Asian metal gong made from a classic bronze alloy. It is also known as the Chao gong or Chinese gong. It impresses with its powerful and stable sound and its special appearance: The gong has a typical golden ring, a black rim and a black center. The most important difference between the TamTam gong and the Feng gong is that the TamTam uses more material and therefore has a heavier weight. The TamTam gong is either hung on a gong stand or held in the hand.
