There is often a fine line between stress and exhaustion. In this sound meditation session, we’ll deepen our understanding of how our nervous system reacts to stress—and why we often find it difficult to regulate ourselves in challenging situations.
The focus of this evening is on the question of what role resources play in this. This is because our nervous system first scans for potential danger, not for what strengthens us. Especially when we are stressed or exhausted, accessing these resources is often difficult.
We explore how resources can support regulation and how we can effectively strengthen them in practice—both for ourselves and when working with clients.
We place a special focus on how we can use sound to support people in different states. What helps with overstimulation, and what helps with exhaustion? And how can sound itself become a reliable resource?
In addition to learning about the nervous system, the practical portion of the session includes a guided sound meditation designed to help you build up your body’s resilience. We’ll wrap up with time for questions and discussion.
