Gong friction mallets

Unlike the gong mallet, the friction mallet is smaller and easier to handle. Rubbing the gong creates completely different sounds than striking it. While the sounds produced with a mallet are usually vibrant, the gong can be made to resonate with sustained tones using a friction mallet. Depending on the head size of the mallet, you can create brighter and deeper sounds. In this way, friction mallets create a fascinating soundscape that is reminiscent of the singing of whales or dolphins. A characteristic of our mallets is that they leave no marks on your gong when played.
